In the last part, we talked about how our commitment to the environmental responsibility is reflected in our products. We also gave a broad and general idea about how it all comes together. In this part, we pick up where we left off and discuss the specific technologies in all of our products here at Renewal by Andersen of Portland — and how they specifically benefit you.

3. It’s in the materials

There are two great materials that we’re proud goes front and center when it comes to our window replacement in Vancouver, WA:

The amount of recycled content in our Fibrex frames has achieved the highest SCS certification allowed.

● High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass: Another product of our drive to use only recycled materials. It is — at a minimum — 12% reclaimed glass by weight. On top of that, it has a coating that helps reduce water spots and blocks UV light — all when activated by sunlight. If that isn’t enough to bowl you over, they’ve been shown to also cut down noise pollution.

Both materials — apart from being made from recyclable components — are also energy efficient. They prevent heat transfer from occurring.
