Furthermore, the windows must receive NRFC ratings that meet the energy efficiency guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Energy-efficient windows have panes that are filled with colorless, odorless, and non-toxic gases like krypton and argon. Compared to standard air, these types of gases provide better insulation and therefore better energy-efficiency.
