Weather
Check the weather forecast and schedule your window cleaning job on an overcast day. Obviously, you should avoid rainy weather as this can make the task complicated and difficult. However, sunny days aren’t ideal either because sunlight can cause the window solution to dry too quickly, creating ugly streaks on the glass.
Cleaning Tools
Make sure to prepare all the right tools for cleaning your replacement windows. Some of the things that you might want to have are a reliable window cleaning solution, a good squeegee, a bucket and a strip washer. You might also want a microfiber cloth for wiping down windows. And if you want to be extra thorough in removing streaks, you should have a buffer tool as well.
Technique
Apart from having the right tools, you should also consider using the proper cleaning technique. Prepare a bucket of soapy water and dip the strip washer into it. Then, make horizontal stripes across your window, making sure to overlap a couple of inches. Take your squeegee and hold it in a 30-degree angle. Wipe in the same order you applied soap, and use a towel to wipe of the soap before proceeding to the next row.
