Renewal by Andersen® Patio Door Designs and Ideas

One of the best ways to create harmony in your home is by creating a seamless transition from your indoor living space to your patio. The right patio doors go a long way in helping achieve that fluid transition. At Renewal by Andersen®, we offer the following high-quality patio door options:

Traditional French Doors

Homes featuring traditional architecture would look beautiful with an equally traditional patio door design. French doors typically have wood finishes, symmetrical grilles, and bi-directional swing feature. Because you need to devote swing space to these doors, you should take your patio furniture placement into account before investing in French doors. While modern, solid color finishes are available, traditional French doors look best with wood panels.

Our Frenchwood® patio door frames have the widest selection of wood interior finishes, which include oak, maple, and pine. All wood finishes are stainable to match your interior wooden trim.

Contemporary Sliding Patio Doors

At the other end of the spectrum is a contemporary sliding patio door, which beautifully complements modern architecture. Sliding patio doors lend a sleek, modern aesthetic to your home, and are also excellent space-savers. In addition, unlike traditional French doors, sliding patio doors do not require swing space to operate, giving you more flexibility for patio furniture arrangement.

Our Narroline® Gliding Patio doors feature a stainable natural pine interior to suit your wood trim or furniture, while our Perma-Shield® Gliding patio doors are available in several contemporary finishes, from white to dark Terratone®. We use Andersen’s adjustable, self-lubricating dual tandem rollers for the door installation of both of these styles. These rollers use steel wheels with ball bearings for smooth, consistent operation that lets the doors truly glide.

Sliding French Patio Doors

You can combine the best of both worlds with our Frenchwood® Gliding Patio Doors. This option gives you the traditional French patio door style as well as the space-saving benefits and smooth operation of our gliding doors. Our patio door options can be customized with our wide selection of hardware, grille, and insect screen options, and installed with High-Performance™ Low-E4® SmartSun™ glass for maximum energy efficiency.
