Renewal by Andersen®’s Hinged Patio Doors: An Overview

High-quality patio doors not only enhance the beauty of your interior, they also make it feel larger, serving as the threshold between your indoor and outdoor living spaces. At Renewal by Andersen®, our hinged French patio doors do even more than that. Learn what makes our home hardware stand out.

Hinged Patio Doors

Our hinged patio doors are derived from the original casement door design, a classic French icon that has been the standard patio door design for decades. We redefined and improved this classic in 1985, introducing homeowners to our revolutionary Frenchwood® patio doors.

These new patio doors are made with Fibrex®—the same composite material we use for our replacement windows. Fibrex consists of real wood fibers and PVC polymer, imbuing it with the beauty of wood combined with the durability and long lifespan of vinyl. The result is a patio door that looks great, lasts for decades, and helps improve your home’s energy efficiency.

Superior Glass Package

Our hinged patio doors come with superior, High-Performance™ Low-E4® Glass, the next generation of premium glass technology. This glass is 56% and 45% more energy efficient in summer and winter, respectively, compared to ordinary dual pane glass.

Our patio doors offer numerous benefits to your home. They improve your home’s energy performance and comfort levels, while also protecting your furnishings from harsh UV rays. The innovative coating on the glass is has a high water tolerance, which means cleaning and maintaining your new doors is a breeze.
