Windows & Noise Reduction: Soundproof Replacement Windows?

Our replacement windows are highly energy-efficient. And we have numerous ENERGY STAR® awards and the Green Seal Certification for Environmental Stewardship to prove it. However, our products can also reduce noise effectively because they possess some of the key elements of their textbook soundproof counterparts.

Dual Panes

Thicker glass plays a major role in minimizing sound transmission. If you still have single-pane units at home, upgrading to our double-pane replacement windows can noticeably make your rooms quieter.

Optimum Air Space

The greater the distance between the two sheets of glass, the more difficult it is for the sound from the outside to get in (and vice versa).

Air space width optimization is in the heart of the double glazing design of our windows. The two panes of our products are at the just the right place to keep heat loss to a minimum. Increased noise abatement is a secondary benefit you’ll get to enjoy.

Argon Gas Fill

We injected a special argon gas blend in the empty space between the panes of our replacement windows. Unlike regular air, sound waves struggle to pass through insulating gases like argon.

Airtight Construction (and Installation)

Sound can move through the air, so sealing windows properly can make a ton of difference in noise reduction.

Air has no chance of infiltrating our products, for we used two specialized sealants to keep our panes steady no matter what.

Moreover, we make windows according to the specifications of wall openings, so they hardly leave gaps around them after installation. With minimal use of spray foam, our products become completely proof against draftiness.

In conclusion, Renewal by Andersen of Portland windows is extremely energy-efficient with exceptional soundproofing characteristics. To find out which of our products suit your house, call (503) 912-2668 to schedule your free consultation in Tigard, West Linn, or Beaverton, OR.
