Highlights from the 2015 Corporate Sustainability Report

In 2015, Andersen signed agreements with community solar developers, which involves subscription to up to 19 megawatts of solar power through the Xcel Energy Solar Rewards Community® program. We also signed a Pollinator Pledge and chose solar allies who have agreed to build-site management practices that will benefit pollinators and other wildlife.

We are also the first in its industry to publish an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), which aims to drastically reduce environmental impact by incorporating life cycle assessment data. Our first EPD was for Renewal by Andersen® double-hung replacement windows in Portland, and they intend to create EPDs for all their products.

Through the Yellowstone Park Foundation, Andersen has donated windows to a new employee dormitory to achieve a LEED® Platinum certification. In the same year, the St. Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Eco Village was completed, consisting of 18 LEED Platinum net zero homes.
