What Makes Our Windows Energy Efficient?

At Renewal by Andersen® of Portland, we’re proud to offer a wide range of window designs for your fall window replacement project. In addition to providing unparalleled beauty and durability, our windows are also extremely energy efficient, helping you save money on your energy bills.

Here’s how we are able to build such energy efficient windows:

Fibrex® Window Frames

All our windows are made of Fibrex, a composite material made from real wood fiber and PVC polymer. The resulting material is both durable and low-maintenance, with better thermal insulating properties than either wood or vinyl. Our Fibrex windows help keep your home warm during the winter and cool during the hot summer months. This takes the burden away from your HVAC system, resulting in lower energy bills

Energy-Efficient Glass Packages

We offer two types of glass packages for your replacement windows that are designed to make your windows energy-efficient. The first is our High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass, which is 45% more energy-efficient during summer and 56% more energy-efficient in winter than your standard dual-pane glass systems. The second is our High-Performance Low-E4 SmartSun™ glass, which is 70% more energy-efficient during summer and 45% more energy-efficient during winter. We recommend this option for warmer climates, but both glass packages give you year-round advantages over regular glass.

At Renewal by Andersen of Portland, we offer a wide range of high-quality, professional window replacement services. When you work with us for your fall window project, you’re guaranteed to enjoy new windows that will help you meet your energy performance goals.

Give us a call at (503) 419-3960 for more information on our energy-efficient window products and professional window services. We install and service replacement windows throughout Salem and Portland, OR.
