Low-E Windows: Year-Long Energy Efficiency

Window placement and design play a big role in energy efficiency. For homes in warm climates, large windows placed on the north side will reduce heat gain in summer. In cold climates, large and insulating windows on the south side of the home will draw heat during winter, allowing the interior to stay a little warmer without putting as much strain on the HVAC unit.

With Renewal by Andersen® low-E window replacement products, however, you get year-long energy efficiency no matter where the windows are located. Here’s how.

Energy-Efficient in Any Climate

Our replacement windows are all equipped with High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass. This makes our products energy-efficient in any climate you call home.

High-Performance™ Low-E4® Glass

Our Low-E4 glass is more energy-efficient than regular glass during colder months by up to 47%. Our glass packages all feature an ENERGY STAR®-certified low-emissive coating that blocks more than 80% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays. This provides you and your family with the extra protection you need.

SmartSun™ Technology

Take your energy efficiency initiative one step further with our innovative SmartSun coating, which allows our window replacement products to reflect radiant heat. SmartSun also filters out up to 95% of the sun’s harmful UV rays, allowing only visible light to pass through.

Low-E4® Sun™

Our Low-E4 Sun coating reduces heat gain from the sun while keeping the brightness manageable. Our Sun™ glass is our best solution for homes with poor placement against the sun.
